Our priority is the safety and health of our friends and family. In the coming months we will be closely monitoring COVID rates, vaccine and rapid testing availability, and adapting our COVID-safety protocol accordingly. We will share our protocol with you all by June 2021. If you’re not sure about how to RSVP, because of uncertainties around our future state, please contact us.

We will not be able to accommodate children during the Sangeet, Wedding or Cocktail Hour/Reception. We thank you for understanding and hope that arrangements can be made that allow you to still attend!

The pandemic has significantly limited our guest list and those who can be physically present with us for our big day. As a result, we ask that you restrict attendees in your party to those listed on your invitation.

Uber and Lyft are available. Car rentals are available from San Diego Airport. It is best to make reservations for a rental car prior to your arrival.

The Sangeet will be held on Friday, August 13th at 5:00pm and will end at 9:30pm (due to La Jolla’s noise ordinance). While some rentals and/or hotels may be able to accommodate early check-ins, they typically range from 3:00 – 4:00pm, so please plan your arrival accordingly.

Due to uncertainties around who may or may not be able to attend our wedding because of the pandemic, we decided not to reserve a room block.

Parking is limited at La Jolla Woman's Club. We recommend carpooling or taking an Uber/Lyft from your hotel/rental. The Coronado Marriott charges $20 for guests who self-park overnight or up to 10 hours for those not staying at the hotel.

We ask that you refrain from taking photos/videos during the wedding ceremony, so that you can be present in the moment (don’t worry, we have great photographers and videographers!). We welcome you to take photos/videos during the rest of the weekend and don’t forget to use #2PsinaPod2021!

We know it can be stressful finding the right outfit to wear to an Indian wedding. We want you to dress in whatever is most comfortable (e.g., Indian or Western attire). Given August is the warmest month in San Diego, we ask you to plan your attire accordingly.

  • Sangeet: Recommend bright, festive colors. Lenghas, chaniya cholis, salvar/kameez, or kurta/pajamas; cocktail or semi-formal attire.

  • Wedding Ceremony: Lenghas, gowns, sarees, or kurta/pajamas; formal attire. Avoid wearing all black or red.

  • Cocktail/Reception: No restrictions on color. Lenghas, gowns, sarees, or kurta/pajamas; formal attire.

On Saturday, August 14th there will be a two-hour break between the Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail/Reception, so having the option to retreat to your rooms or rental in/near Coronado during that time might be helpful. Downtown/Gaslamp District also offers great hotels/rentals and is located between La Jolla and Coronado, with great restaurants and bars in the vicinity.
